Hey, y'all! My niece turned 12 this week. Twelve! God, I'm old! This year, she wanted to have an emoji party... like duh she's 12 so she's on her phone non-stop. It's kind of perfect, right? I was super excited when I found out the theme of her party... I mean, emoji's are a pretty fun theme to play around with!

For her sister's mermaid birthday party, I created a gorgeous Mermaid Bark that Frankenstein fell in love with. I knew right away that I wanted to a similar create an Emoji bark just for her! To kick off this project, I bought a bag of M&M's and picked out several of the yellow ones. I used an edible marker to draw various faces on the yellow candy to turn them into emoji's.

Next, I melted white and turquoise chocolate melts to create the bark. I added them to a baking dish lined with wax paper and swirled them to create a marble pattern. Add a few sprinkles and scatter your emoji candy on top and place the bark in the fridge to set.

I told you it was easy! It's actually so easy that this is the perfect project for young girls to create on their own, with supervision, of course! How fun would this be to make at a sleep over??

Ingredients:

1 package white melting chocolate

1 package turquoise melting chocolate (or your teen's favorite color)

Yellow M&M's

Sprinkles

Instructions:

1. In two separate batches, melt the chocolates according to the package instructions. I prefer the double boiler method, myself.

2. Line a 9 x 13 pan with wax paper. Place globs of each color sporadically across the pan. Use a rubber scrapper to lightly swirl the colors together. Don't go crazy with this step, you could easily end up stirring it rather than swirling.

3. Top with sprinkles and candies.

4. Allow the chocolate bark to set.

5. Break apart the bark with your hands, or by using the end of a rolling pin. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container.
