Hey, ya'll!  I'm Elle a super sassy southern gal who recently fell in love with decorating and cooking. I am the writer, photographer, and recipe-developer behind Maps & Monograms.

 

 

I'm a late bloomer as far as domesticity is concerned.  I spent my 20's traveling throughout Europe, the Caribbean and Central America.  I took my time settling down and finishing college mostly because I wasn't ready to spend my paychecks on rent and utility bills.

 

 

Now that I'm in my early thirties, I've settled down.  Instead of reading guidebooks and dreaming of distant lands, I watch the Food Network and obsess over my Instagram and Pinterest feeds.  

 

 

It turns out the domestic life isn't so bad after all.  I happen to love decorating my home and preparing new meals... and I still manage to strap a backpack on from time to time and explore the world around me.

 

At the end of the day, I'm just like you!  I love simple DIY projects and delicious (and easy!) recipes.  Maps  & Monograms represents my style; trinkets from around the globe mixed with southern charm.  It might sound crazy, but it works!
