These delicious Pilgrim Hats are perfect for keeping the kiddos occupied while you prepare Thanksgiving Dinner! They require only 4 "ingredients" and are easy for all ages!
Hey, y'all! I hope you had a nice, relaxing weekend! Are you gearing up for Thanksgiving yet? I'm so stinking excited that it is Thanksgiving week! Thanksgiving, in our house, is a family affair. Everyone has a role in making our meal into a feast. Whether it is a simple task such as setting the table or preparing a pitcher of ice water, or preparing the side dishes or carving the turkey, we all have a job to do!
My nieces (11 and 4) love helping out in the kitchen. From the moment they could sit up on their own, they've sat on the countertops helping us mash, stir, and prep meals. Since we'll have a lot of hands in the kitchen, I wanted to give them something that they could do from the kitchen table while my brother, mom and I worked on dinner.
I wanted the project to be something that they could do with little or no guidance so I came up with these super fun, festive, and easy Pilgrim Hat Cookies. These cookies are a cute, no-bake dessert perfect for keeping little ones occupied on Thanksgiving Day. There are just 4 "ingredients"; Fudge Striped Cookies (flipped upside down), mini-Reese's cups, M&M's (we're using orange and yellow to symbolize the hat's bucket) and a little dollop of icing to hold the components together.

There are just 4 "ingredients"; Fudge Striped Cookies (flipped upside down), mini-Reese's cups, M&M's (we're using orange and yellow to symbolize the hat's bucket) and a little dollop of icing to hold the components together.
Ingredients:
Fudge Striped Cookies
1 M&M per cookie
1 mini-Reese's cup per cookie
Icing to hold it all together
Instructions:
1. Take one Fudge Striped cookie and turn it over on to a clean surface.
2. Place a small dollop of icing on the wide side of the mini-Reese's peanut butter cup. You'll want to place the Reese's cup towards the back, center of the cookie so that the M&M can fit on the cookie "hat" as well (see the first picture).
3. Place another small dollop of icing on the M&M and affix it to the mini-Reese's peanut butter cup.
4. Enjoy!
