Hey, y'all! I've been dying to share this recipe with you. It's one of my absolute favorite meals. This melt in your mouth Mississippi Pot Roast is on heavy rotation in my household, and just one bite will show you just why! This stuff is tender, full of flavor and melts in your mouth.

What exactly is Mississippi Pot Roast?

Mississippi Roast is prepared by slow roasting a chuck roast in the slow cooker with gravy mix, a dry ranch packet, pepperonicini and of course... butter. Once it's cooked low and slow, shred it with a pair of forks you have created an absolutely sensational feast!

What cut of meat should I use?

Believe it or not, since this meal is prepared in the crockpot, a budget-friendly chuck steak is perfect for this recipe. It is full of flavor, becomes super tender and is inexpensive.

What should I serve with this dish?

Carrots

Serve it on thick bread as a sandwich!

Kitchen Essentials:

Ingredients:

3-4 pound chuck roast

1 packet Ranch dressing mix

1 packet Au Jus mix

1/4 cup butter, unsalted

6-7 pepperonici

Instructions:

1. Place the roast in a crock pot.

2. Pour the ranch dressing mix and au jus mix on top roast. Place peppers and butter on top.

3. Cover and cook on low heat for 8 hours.

4. Shred with 2 forks and enjoy.
