Simply Irresistible Piña Colada Dip

This scrumptious dip combines all of the great piña colada flavors of coconut and pineapple in a delicious blend of cream cheese and Cool Whip.

Hey, y’all! We recently hosted a housewarming party to welcome all of our friends and family to our new home. Our party had a Mi Casa es su Casa theme so I created a Mexican-inspired menu that included Walking Tacos, Slammin’ Queso, Fiesta Stuffed Peppers, Fiesta Ranch Dip with Corn, Mexican rice, and homemade guacamole. All of the food was a huge hit but weirdly enough, one of my friend's favorite dishes was a ridiculously easy Piña Colada Dip.

The dip is a breeze to make. It combines all of the great piña colada flavors of coconut and pineapple in a delicious blend of cream cheese and Cool Whip. It tastes incredible with fresh fruit but it is also out of this world with vanilla wafers or salty pretzels.

Pro-Tip: Make sure you thaw your cream cheese and Cool Whip before preparing this dip. If not, the dip will turn out a little lumpy (delicious, but lumpy).

What do I serve with Piña Colada Dip?

  • Strawberries

  • Raspberries

  • Blackberries

  • Blueberries

  • Apple Slices

  • Banana Slices

  • Kiwi

  • Grapes

  • Pineapple

  • Graham Crackers

  • Oreos

  • Vanilla Wafers

  • Teddy Grahams

  • Pretzels

  • Cubed Pound Cake

This dip can easily be whipped up in a matter of minutes. Simply cream your cream cheese until it’s nice and smooth. Slowly add in a can of cream of coconut and pineapple juice. Stir until the mixture is completely smooth. It will appear a little runny, don’t panic. Fold in your Cool Whip and prepare for one of the best dips you’ve ever had in your life. The dip can be eaten right away or you can allow it to thicken up in the refrigerator. The choice is up to you.

Where can I find cream of coconut?

Cream of coconut is packaged in a can and can be found in the International aisle of most grocery stores. It is typically found near the Mexican food but may also be found near the Thai ingredients.

Cream of coconut is also frequently found with the drink mixers.

Piña Colada Dip is perfect for fiestas such as Cinco de Mayo and it would be a perfect addition to your summer barbecue or party menu. This recipe makes a large batch that is perfect to share with all of your favorite people.

The dip was so delicious that I had friends take home to-go containers of it so they could chow down on it at home (or in the car, I’m not judging). Luckily I made a double batch so I was able to enjoy it the next day.

Kitchen Essentials:

Ingredients:

8 oz cream cheese (softened)

1 can cream of coconut

½ cup pineapple juice

8 oz Cool Whip (softened)

Instructions:

  1. Beat your cream cheese until smooth.

  2. Slowly add in the cream of coconut and pineapple juice. Stir the mixture until it is well combined. The mixture will be smooth, creamy and a little runny.

  3. Fold the Cool Whip into the mixture until evenly combined.

  4. Allow the dip to thicken in the refrigerator for about 1 hour before serving.
