These fabulous sandwiches are piled high with ham and topped with delicious, ooey, gooey Mississippi Sin Dip. These sliders can be made ahead of time and are great for feeding a crowd!
Hey, y'all! Hey, y'all! Happy Saturday! It's time for another edition of Saturday's Snacks! Each week I share with you a delicious appetizer that is perfect for munching on during the big game. So far this season I have shared with you recipes like Taco Meatballs, Fiesta Stuffed Peppers, Buffalo Chicken Ring, and Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Peppers.
In case you couldn't guess, football Sunday is a pretty big deal in my household. Each week my family all gathers around my old man's big screen to watch the game. Let me just say...being a Jaguars fan is tough ya'll. We stink. Like really bad. Consistently too. We make up for our crappy games by serving stellar food.
A couple of weeks back my mom made some pretty amazing hot ham sandwiches. As soon as I bit into one, I just knew I had to share the recipe with y'all. She took one of my favorite dips, Mississippi Sin Dip and slathered it onto a slider piled with ham and heated up to perfection.
Holy yum, y'all!
If you've never had Mississippi Sin Dip, it's a glorious combination of shredded cheddar cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, mayo, bacon, ham, green onions, and seasonings. With this variation, rather than mixing the ham into the dip itself, the ham rests on a slider bun with the dip slathered on top. The sliders are then baked until perfection.
I will say that it is easy to get carried away with piling the dip onto these sandwiches. Don't feel like you have to use the whole mixture on the sandwiches if you notice they are getting a bit messy. You can always serve the remaining mixture with crackers! Or... if you don't care about them being messy, have at it and pile that goodness on. Really...what's a little mess between friends? In fact, I happen to like mine sloppy because I can scoop up the goop with crackers.
These sliders are not only perfect for football but they are also great for parties. Like many of my favorite appetizers, these guys can be made in advance and then heated up when it's game time or when your guests arrive.
