Buffalo Chicken Ring

This flavorful appetizer recipe is simple to make and is perfect for feeding a large crowd.

Hey, y'all! Happy Saturday. Saturday's around here mean one thing- it's time for another edition of Saturday's Snacks. Each Saturday I share a brand new appetizer recipe with you that is perfect for Game Day. This season I've shared great recipes like Million Dollar Dip, Fiesta Stuffed Peppers, Taco Meatballs and delicious Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Peppers.

Last month I shared with you my Absolute Best Buffalo Chicken Dip recipe. This delicious, creamy and cheesy Buffalo Chicken Dip is the base of this incredible Buffalo Chicken Dip Ring. It begins with shredded chicken (and I'm not talking about the kind you buy in a can). Pile on some cream cheese and cheddar cheese. Add a bit of buffalo sauce and garlic powder and the secret ingredient (dry ranch seasoning) and give it all a good stir. Next, form a ring using 2 can of crescent rolls. You'll want to lay this out end to end (with the narrow part point outwards), in a circular pattern. Spoon your dip on top of the ring and fold the small triangular tips inwards to the center of the ring.

In my the post about the Absolute Best Buffalo Chicken Dip, I suggested using a rotisserie chicken as a short cut for the shredded chicken. Last week, I tried another short cut. While perusing through the freezer section, I noticed that one of the big chicken brands sells frozen shredded chicken. Ugh....yes, please! These bags were BOGO so I picked up a pair and give them a shot. They were absolutely perfect! Although, parts of the chicken were a little chewier than I would I have liked. The rotisserie chicken always turns out juicy and moist, which helps elevate the dip, in my opinion. Would I use the frozen shredded chicken again? Absolutely.

As a meal prepper, I always have shredded chicken handy in my freezer. I make up a large batch of it on the weekends and freeze it to use throughout the week. With my quick and easy Instant Pot Shredded Chicken Recipe, the chicken is cooked in no time.

Isn't it a beaut? And better yet, it tastes incredible! The crescent ring surrounding the Buffalo Chicken Dip helps mellow out the "heat" of it and is perfect for munching on during the game!

Kitchen Essentials:

Instant Pot (optional)

Ingredients:

1 cups chicken, cooked and shredded 4 oz cream cheese, softened and cubed 1/2 1oz package of dry ranch dressing mix 1 tsp garlic powder 1 cups shredded cheddar cheese 1/4 cup buffalo hot sauce 2 tubes refrigerated crescent dough Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray a baking sheet with non-stick spray and set aside.

2. Place all the ingredients into a mixing bowl. Stir to combine.

3. Next, form a ring using 2 tubes of crescent rolls on your baking pan. You'll want to lay this out end to end (with the narrow part point outwards), in a circular pattern. Spoon your dip on top of the ring and fold the small triangular tips inwards to the center of the ring.

4. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until the dough is a lovely golden brown. Allow it to cool for at least 5 minutes before cutting it into serving size pieces.
