Eeeeeek! A spider! Check out these totally adorable Super Spooky Spider Bites made from donuts, pretzels and M&M's!
Hey, y'all! Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. I love everything about it! I love the fall colors, pumpkin flavored everything, football, and warm apple cider. I wish I could add cool weather to the list but I live in Florida and we're still sweating to death with temperatures still in the 90's.
Fall is a chance to be cutesy, quirky and have a little fun with all of the wonderful things that make fall so glorious. I mean, when else could you get away with serving Barfing Pumpkin Nachos, Spider Cookies, and Spooky Rice Krispie Treats.
Another fun thing I like to make is Spider Donuts. Spider Donuts are super easy to make and are totally cute. You'll need some mini chocolate covered donuts, pretzels, a small tube of icing and M&M's. Simply break the pretzels in thirds to create little legs; to do this you'll just snap the pretzel off where the pieces meet. This will help form perfectly shaped arcs for the legs. Carefully press the pretzels into the donuts. Apply a little bit of icing to the back of M&M's to help adhere them to the donut. That's it!
These little guys would be great for a kid's Halloween party or classroom activity. They are simple enough for young kids to assemble them together themselves!
Ingredients:
Mini Chocolate Covered Donuts Pretzels 1 small tube of icing M&M's
Instructions:
1. Lay donuts on a clean, flat surface.
2. Use your hands to snap the pretzels into thirds. These little arcs will become the spiders legs. Press 4 of these "legs" into each side of the donut.
3. Apply a small amount of icing to 2 M&M's. Place 2 M&M's on each donut to create the spider's eyes.
4. Repeat the steps until you have created the desired amount of edible spiders.
