This delicious pizza takes about 15 minutes to come together making it perfect for a busy weeknight or even game time!
Hey, y'all! In yesterday's Saturday's Snacks post, I shared with you my delicious Barbecue Chicken Naan Pizza recipe. The pizza takes about 15 minutes to come together so it's perfect for preparing during half-time or on a busy weeknight. It features sweet and juicy shredded chicken, melted cheese, tangy barbecue sauce, and vibrant red onions.
It is absolutely incredible- but I know that BBQ Chicken Pizza isn't everyone's forte- kind of like eating pineapple on pizza (which I love!). So, for last weeks game, I actually whipped up two different naan pizzas. A funky barbecue chicken naan pizza and a classic pepperoni naan pizza.
What is naan?
Naan is an Indian-style flatbread, similar to roti or flatbread. Traditionally it is made inside of an extremely hot tandoori clay oven however, you can also prepare it in a cast iron skillet. This little discs of yumminess are super airy, puffy, and make for an excellent pizza crust. Although homemade naan is relatively easy to make, you can also buy it premade. Most major supermarkets carry it in the bakery.
You'll notice this recipe doesn't use exact measurements- that's because everyone likes their pizza a little differently. I happen to love loading my down with sauce and cheese. Other people prefer light sauce, or easy on the cheese. The great thing about making homemade pizza is that you can customize it to fit your preferences.
