My niece, the little Gremlin pictured, has a hard time sleeping. She hates laying flat on her back and struggles to sleep in anything but her swing and car seat. I thought the DockATot might be a great way to transition her from sleeping in her swing to getting a good night's sleep in her crib. When we first laid her flat in the bed she cried and cried. As soon as we propped her head up on the side, her tears vanished and she began squealing and kicking her legs. If that doesn't sound like an infants seal of approval, I don't know what is!
"Gremlin" loves tummy time in her new safe, cozy place! The sides provide her with the perfect amount of support that she needs to work on her neck muscles and fine motor skills.
She also loves relaxing in her DockATot. I mean, the thing looks and feels like it was built for a King or Queen, who wouldn't love laying in this thing?
It is still a struggle to get her to sleep anywhere but her swing or car seat, but I'm sure it is only a matter of time before she's resting soundly in her new, portable bed!
Our family is very active and we vacation together frequently! This snug little bed will be perfect for her when we go up to the lake house and when we head out on our next cruise. Of course, it'll get much more use than that! My parents are keeping the DockATot at their house so that Gremlin can rest and relax while she's with them. It can follow her to her other grandparents and to her aunts (that's me!) and uncles house as well!
Although the DockATot did not miraculously help her sleep somewhere other than a swing or car seat, it did provide her with a safe, comfortable spot to relax and practice her tummy time. The quality is so incredible that I have a feeling that this safe space can be passed down to her future cousins!
