Roasted Brussels Sprouts with a Balsamic Glaze

Hello, friends! Have I mentioned my love for Brussels sprouts lately? Last month I shared with you my incredible Shredded Bliss Salad which features spinach, Brussels sprouts, a balsamic glaze and Parmesan cheese. Today's recipe features many of the same ingredients, but puts a totally different spin of these little green spheres of happiness!

Roasted Brussels Sprouts with a Balsamic Glaze are the perfect, sophisticated side dish. And lucky for you, they couldn't be any easier to make!

Ingredients:

1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved lengthwise

2 tbps olive oil

1 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper

1/4 cup balsamic glaze

1 tbsp light brown sugar, packed

Parmesan cheese, for garnishing

Directions: Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Add Brussels sprouts to the baking sheet and evenly drizzle with olive oil. Lightly season with salt and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.

Arrange the sprouts with the cut-side down and bake for about 18 minutes, or until the sprouts have stared to turn a light brown.

Using tongs, flip the sprouts over and evenly drizzle with balsamic and sprinkle with brown sugar.

Return baking sheet to oven and bake for another 10 - 15 minutes or until the sprouts have become caramelized. The baking time will vary depending on the size of your sprouts.

Garnish with shaved cheese and serve immediately.

Aren't they glorious? I paired these sassy sprouts with Boursin Cheese Mashed Potatoes and pretzel crusted chicken bites. Are you a Brussels sprouts fan? What is your favorite way to enjoy them?
