Hello, friends! One of Ashley's favorite appetizers is Cheesy Sausage Balls. Have you had them before? Sausage balls couldn't be easier to make! It is a simple combination of cream cheese, cheese, sausage and baking mix.
Ingredients:
2 cups of baking mix
1 pound of sausage, uncooked
1 pound of shredded cheddar cheese
8oz cream cheese , softened
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Combine sausage and cream cheese with an electric mixer.
Add shredded cheddar cheese. Feel free to throw some extra cheese into the bowl. It won't hurt! I usually end up doing about 1 1/3 cups of cheese when I prepare my sausage balls.
Add in the baking mix and combine. Be sure to scrape the edges so you get all of the powder incorporated into the mixture.
Using a spoon, scoop out a spoonful of the mixture and place it on a greased pan. You don't have to roll the sausage into a ball, simply spoon it onto the pan.
Bake in the oven for 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
Now, you know that as a Southern girl I love me some ranch dressing. These balls taste amazing when dipped in ranch.
