Hello friends! Last night my mom hosted a game night at her house. She invited The Smiths (a family we've been friends with for 3 generations), Jason (one of our travel buddies), my brother, his wife and two kids and Mike (one of her employees) and his lady friend.

The game? Boys vs Girls Pictionary. The girls dominated the game at first but the boys quickly took over the game and ended up destroying the girl's team. We had so much fun sipping on strawberry pina colada margaritas (one of our favorite cruise drinks) and nibbling on snacks.

My contribution was a Chicken Bacon Alfredo Stuffed Bread. Now I have to be honest, I didn't come up with the idea. I was tagged in a post on Facebook and told that this was what I was making. But... in true Elle fashion, I modified the recipe.

This is one of those recipes where mise en place (Culinary speak for "everything in place") is the key. Make sure you have everything in place before assembling your bread boat. Precook your meat and have everything chopped before you begin.

Ingredients:

1 loaf of French bread. 1 cup of Alfredo sauce (If you want yours saturated in Alfredo set aside another cup) 2 cups of shredded Mozzarella 2 pinches of Italian seasoning 2 cups of cooked chicken, chopped 8 slices of cooked bacon, chopped 1 cup of tomatoes, diced 1/2 cup of green onions, sliced thin

Instructions: 1. Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees.

2. Cut the top of the French bread off and remove the inside to hollow it out forming a "boat". Place the bread on a large baking sheet. I had a large loaf so I cut mine in half.

3. Spread the Alfredo sauce evenly inside the loaf. Cover with a layer of Mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle parsley over cheese.

6. Remove from oven and top with parsley if desired. Cut into slices and enjoy! Serve with an Alfredo dipping sauce if you wish. I preferred mine without.

Everyone loved this dish. I'm not an Alfredo fan myself but I have to admit, it was pretty tasty.

Prepping this appetizer gave me a few ideas for future pull aparts; chicken bacon ranch and a BBQ chicken pull apart. YUM!
