Painted Bread

Rainbow Toast is a fun way to keep your little ones busy on cold or rainy days!

Hey, y'all! Are you looking for a way to keep your kiddos busy now that it's cold outside? One day I got home from work and found Ashley and Monster in the living room painting bread. Yes. Painting. Bread. I know what you're thinking, "How in the world does that work?"

It actually couldn't be any easier. Simply lay a slice of bread on a paper towel. Pour a small amount of milk into shallow dishes or cups. Add food coloring and allow your child to paint the bread using a clean paint brush.

Now before you go on a tyrant about food coloring, there are plenty of all natural versions out there for those with sensitivities for food dyes.

Once the child is done painting the bread, you can pop it in the toaster or oven (if it's too wet) to toast the bread.

Be sure to give me a like on Facebook or follow me on Instagram or Twitter for more fun rainy day activities like this one. See you next time!
