Hey, y'all! A cold front is coming, a cold front is here! And by a cold front, I mean that our highs will only be in the low 50's here in northeast Florida. I have to be honest, it can be kind of hard to get into the Christmas spirit when you're decorating a Christmas tree in a tank top and you have to strip down to your undies so you don't break a sweat while drinking hot chocolate. The struggle is real y'all.
I'll spare you the photos of the sexiness of me and my cocoa but I will share with you our Christmas tree. Our tree is a little rustic and a little travel... or a little Maps & Monograms, if you will. We have loads of farmhouse style ornaments mixed in with ornaments we have picked up throughout our travels. We have 1 ornament from every country we have visited hanging on our tree.
We picked up these ornaments on our trip to Alaska, Yukon and British Columbia this summer.
Shout out to my cats for fighting the urge to climb the tree and bat down all of the ornaments over the past 6 days. What are the chances that they can keep this good behavior up?
Do you create a Christmas Wishlist? My mom requests a list from us kids by August 1st each year so that she can have ample time to shop for our gifts. My wishlist is actually a secret Pinterest board that only she and I can see. Throughout the year, I just pin stuff that I like so she can either buy/make it. This way, when others ask for a wishlist, she doesn't have to worry about double buying.
Here are some things that I would love to see under my tree this year!
This Instapot replaces 7 kitchen appliances- a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, yogurt maker, saute/searing pan, a steamer and a warmer. What makes it even cooler is that you can control it from your phone! Since I leave for work so early, sometimes my crockpot meals sit in the the pot a little longer than I would like. With this Blue Tooth capability, I can start the timer when later in the day!
Prepping recipes would be so much easier if I had a food processor. I love this one from Hamilton Beach. It would make chopping up veggies a breeze!
Giant Jenga would be the perfect addition to our collection of games. We love hosting game nights and I have a feeling my friends would love hanging out in the backyard, playing Giant Jenga with a delicious drink in their hand.
We love our pets but it would be great to not have to come home to floors covered in fur. This iRobot Vacuum can be controlled right from your phone so the robot can clean while you're away. You can also control the device via Amazon Echo. "Hey Alexa, clean my floors!"
You know what I would love? Some vinyl! My mom gave me one of her Silhouette machines and I would love to start using it to make my own signs.
What items are on your Christmas list? I'd love to know! Drop your list in the comments below! In the meantime, here are some more photos of my home :)
