**December 2017 Update** Wow! It's hard to believe this is my most popular post of 2017!
Hey y'all! My youngest brother and his girlfriend are expecting their first child. They planned on waiting until his girlfriend's mom to move from Puerto Rico to the United States before revealing the gender of their baby. They began planning out this super fun way to unveil the gender to the family. Unfortunately, Puerto Rico was absolutely devastated by Hurricane Maria and all plans to move had to be put on hold.
Justin and Maru went to a doctors appointment to check and see how the baby was doing. Even though they asked multiple times to for the gender to be kept a secret, one of the doctors or nurses let it slip and suddenly, plans changed.
After he left the appointment, my brother texted the entire family and asked that everyone meet at my parent's house so they could reveal the gender of their little one. I had about 30 minutes between the time I got off of work and the time I was supposed to meet up with the family.
I felt really bad for them, all of their plans for a gender reveal party were pushed aside. I wanted to do a little something to help make the moment feel special so I quickly whipped up some adorable little "baby" cookies using white chocolate, food coloring, and Nutter Butters.
The cookies couldn't have been any easier to make! Not only were the cookies super cute but they were incredibly delicious!
Ingredients:
1 package Nutter Butter Cookies
White chocolate, melted and divided into 2 bowls
Food Coloring
Black Decorating Gel
Instructions:
1. Melt white chocolate in the microwave or by using the double boiler method.
2. Separate the chocolate into two different bowls. Add pink food coloring or gel to one and blue to the other.
3. Dip each cookie partially into the chocolate.
4. Place the cookies on a plate and allow them to chill in the refrigerator so that the chocolate has a chance to harden.
I also quickly made a little sign (that totally embarrassed my brother) to hang on the front door of mom and dad's house.
