Hello, friends! It's no secret that my dogs are spoiled. Since Ashley and I both work throughout the week, we make the weekends all about them. Almost every weekend we take them to a nearby lake where they have free reign of the trails, the woods, and the lake. They spend all morning swimming around and splashing about. If it's too chilly to swim, we head to the dog park. Most of the time, their best friends Layla and Kingston join us.
Recently I made LB, Parker and their friends a yummy treat using some frozen banana I wanted to get rid of. The pups absolutely loved them (as did their feline brother, Ricochet).
Ingredients:
1 banana
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 1/2 cups oatmeal
Preheat oven to 350.
In a medium size bowl, beat together the banana and peanut butter using an electric mixer. Fold in oatmeal until well combined.
Flatten mixture out on a clean surface and use cookie cutters to cut out the shapes of your choice. You can also roll the mixture into small balls.
Bake for 12-15 minutes.
Chill and serve.
