If you know that you can take them for a walk every day, but not twice, for instance, then you should look into a dog that fits into that category as well as possible. Comfort
As with any mammal, your dog is going to need to be able to get comfortable in order to be happy throughout the days. This is especially important when they are in need of sleep, of course, and most of all you should make sure that you are providing somewhere for them that is perfectly comfortable to sleep on. As long as they have that, you will find that you are able to look after them much more effectively, so this is something to be sure of from the start. If you are keen to provide as much comfort as possible for your dog, look into getting a dog bed cushion along with a bed which they can lie on. That will enable them to get the proper amount of sleep, which is essential for their overall well-being.
Diet
Finally, make sure that you know what to feed them and how much of it to feed them. This varies from dog to dog and breed to breed, and changes as they get older too, so you will need to make sure that you are looking after this side of them too. Play around with different brands too - you might discover that they have one or two which are absolute favorites.
