Hey, y'all! Ashley and I are huge book nerds. Our friends make fun of us because we're the only 30 something's that they know with a library. We have books in every room of the house from the kitchen to the living room, guest room and every where in between. When we moved in together we had a lot of duplicate books and by a lot I mean like over 50 of them!
After my last book DIY project, I thought Ashley was going to kill me. But the more and more I think about it, the more that it makes sense for us to incorporate our love of reading in our seasonal decor. I mean, we already have books all over the place, why not kick it up another notch?
I found one book that we had 3 copies of... yes 3 copies! Both of us loved the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. Somehow we managed to collect 3 copies of "Eleven on Top". This book would be perfect for my next book project: Bunny Butts!
I made sure I found a page with our favorite character; Grandma Mazur.
Supplies:
1 book page
1 piece of scrapbook paper
Green Moss (optional)
Scissors
Glue
1 4x6 Frame
Instructions:
I began this project by removing the paper insert from a 4x6 frame so I knew how much space I had to work with.
Next, I selected a page from the book and created 1 medium size circle, 1 small circle and 1 oval shape.
After cutting out the two circles, I folded the page in half so that my ears would be equal sizes when I cut them. Then, I cut a piece of scrapbook paper down to size and glued the pieces down using glue dots. I created a tail out of a small pom pom.
I added some pieces of green moss to the bottom of the frame to give it a little more color.
And there you have it! An adorable little bunny butt perfect for spring! How easy was that? See my egg garland on the fireplace? Check by on Thursday to see how I created this cute garland for only $1!
