Peanut Butter & Pumpkin Dog Treats

You know you're a Dog Mom when you spend your day off baking homemade dog treats for your pups. Can you say spoiled?

This simple dog treat recipe calls for 4 basic ingredients: egg, flour, pumpkin and peanut butter. Both pumpkin and peanut butter are incredibly good for your dogs and they absolutely love it! As soon as LB hears the pantry open she comes running into the kitchen hoping that we're digging out the peanut butter jar.

Ingredients:

1 egg

1/2 cup of pumpkin

1/3 cup of peanut butter

2 cups of flour

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350.

Combine all of your wet ingredients in a medium sized bowl.

Gradually add 2 cups of flour to your egg, pumpkin and peanut butter mixture.

Can you tell Lady Belle is excited about her dog biscuits? And yes... I'm always this messy when I bake. Even LB has flour all over her.

Keep mixing until your ingredients are well combined and you have a dough. Remove dough from your bowl and form a ball.

Use a rolling pin to flatten your dough ball.

Using the cookie cutter of your choice, begin cutting out various shapes in your dough. I use these Wilton puppy, paw print and bone cutters that you can purchase on Amazon. They are extremely durable and easy to wash.

Place the dog biscuits on a greased pan.

Bake in the oven for approximately 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Note that this photo is a double batch since I'm making treats for our fur friends.

All the treats to cool before feeding them to your pooch.

As you can see, Parker approves! (And she's also had fun destroying toys today!)
